Lies are great
With the force that was just introduced to my chest triggered something in me. With my knees bent and my face looking down towards the ripped up field, a primal feeling washes over me. Like it was in slow motion I slowly left my head as my feet grip the soft muddy earth. I push of with such power I feel as if I were to be launched to the heavens. Down the field I see ogres of men clashing with my human barrier trying to reach their accolade. The accolade must be me. Their eyes blazing red with nothing on their minds but pain, a pain I must only feel. I start to sprint down the field as the men after me get bigger as I get closer. Looking like mountains ready to tumble on a village. I come in contact with the first ogre, he wraps around my legs giving me the feeling of running through tar. I push so hard it is like my thighs are almost ready to burst open with all the power they have. I spin so fast the man loses his grip, but spinning cause me to collide with the next ravenous fiend. I throw my arm out and send myself hurdling over him. Then I have to make my next move to the right and then to the left I juke by the next two monsters. A thunderous clap is heard as the two train wreck with each other. I start to sprint forward again, my feet throwing earth up behind me. I don't have time to look back but I know the hungry pack of wolfs are right behind me nipping at my heels. The roar of the crowd is immense, so load I swear that the walls would start crumbling down all around the stadium. I have two more monstrous men to vanquish before I can reach my goal, my only want. The first one nears and leaps 10 yards at me like snake's head striking at its quarry. I rapidly throw my hand out and bring him to a standstill in mid air the ground trembles as he crashes into the earth. One more left, he is running right beside me steam bellowing out of his nostrils. He dives for my legs and latches on. He has only got one of them but won't let go. I leap forward in towards my safety zone cameras flash all around lighting the stadium. I come down hard, I see nothing but grass my arms extended as far as they can. Then boom a roar over comes the sounds of the stadium I am lifted to my feet whistles are blowing. I did it I got the touchdown now merely three more quarters to go...

Ball game metaphorically raised to the literary level of heroic quest! I cheer!
